VyprVPN app updated and new server added in Texas
Golden Frog team has recently launched an updated version for their for their VyprVPN app, version 1.1
This new version aims to solve few bugs from previous version like:
- Windows VPN description will now simply say “VyprVPN”, rather than incrementing server location names after each reconnection, e.g., “Amsterdam (17)”, “Amsterdam (18)”, etc. on Windows Vista and Windows 7
- Windows 7 will now only ask for network type (Public, Work, Home) the first time VyprVPN App connects using PPTP or L2TP
- Updates no longer require a reboot
- Recent connections now work even if a user decides to not save their password
VyprVPN customers can take advantage of the updated version for free and must download it from Vypr VPN website.
The second good news for VyprVPN customers is that a new server has been added in Austin, Texas USA! The Austin VPN server is available for all VyprVPN protocols, including PPTP, L2TP/IPsec and OpenVPN.
For Golden Frog customers using the VyprVPN App, the new Austin VPN server address is automatically available when choosing your server location.
Customers using VyprVPN with their operating system, simply update your VyprVPN hostname to:
us3.vpn.goldenfrog.com
